NCCSALW LEADS ECOWAS MEETING ON SMALL ARMS CONTROL

The ECOWAS Coordination Meeting of National Commissions on Small Arms, chaired by the Director-General, Deputy Inspector-General of Police (rtd) Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, commenced today in Abuja and will run until 31 October 2024. Participants include representatives from ECOWAS Member States such as Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Gambia, Benin and Togo, as well as international partners, including MAG, BICC, Interfaith, AMAT, WAANSA-Nigeria and UNIDIR. This meeting presents a significant opportunity to strengthen our collective efforts against the proliferation of small arms, light weapons and improvised explosive devices.
